Suli and Jan have self-funded their airfare and accomodation and would welcome further donations to give directly to the Mercy Ships charity. Donations can be made directly to Suli or Jan in cash or by cheques (payable to Mrs S. Henderson or Mrs J. Roberts).     

Donkey Races April 12th – Guernsey Yacht Club

Raising money to fund two theatre nurses aboard the Mercy Ships

First race 7.15. Tickets £10 inc steak and ale pie supper (vegetarian option available). Betting on each race starts at 50p. Race or donkey sponsorship available (£20 – £50) which entitles the sponsor to name the race, name the donkey and choose the jockeys. Sponsors can also introduce a handicap (e.g. blindfolded donkeys, blindfold the jockeys, introduce course obstacle etc). Donkey sponsors receive a payout if their donkey wins. Donkeys for the final race will be sold at auction on the evening.

I am looking for established or bespoke music acts to take part in an event in August.

The vision is to stage several acts in one night in front of an audience seated at tables with drinks service. This will give local or locally connected musicians another opportunity to play on an entertaining evening to an appreciative audience. I will also be looking for someone to host the evening and introduce acts etc.

I deliberately avoid suggesting a genre or format – I can only rely on you to provide the raw material around which to build a great evening. My only request is that your set should be professional quality and entertaining. The audience will purchase tickets before the event and as such the musicians will be paid a modest fee.

The Rock Garden – charming staff and a very classy venue. I didn’t get a chance to taste the food (always a problem when I’m playing!) but it looked excellent.
